This museum, housed in the Royo house, is dedicated to ancient crafts and trades

Located in the Maison Royo, the historic home of the Galtier family in Bédarieux, this museum showcases traditional crafts and trades. There are three areas to explore: the old wheelwright's workshop with its period machinery, the former stable housing the small trades, and the second floor dedicated to textile heritage and temporary exhibitions, until October: "Les œufs dans le monde, Coutumes et Traditions" ("Eggs around the world, customs and traditions").

Outside, on the façade of Albert Galtier's old shoemaker's store, a replica of the old sign draws admiration.

Après avoir pris RDV par téléphone, nous avons visité l'atelier avec des explications claires et didactiques sur le travail artisanal nécessaire pour la construction d'une charrette. Il fallait du muscle et de la patience pour cela :)

Petit musée animé par des bénévoles passionnés. La crèche à taille humaine avec sa table du Languedoc et la collection de vêtements perlés méritaient vraiment le détour. Nous reviendrons certainement voir les prochaines expositions.
