LE MOULIN BLADIER
Mill located on the right bank of the river Herault, an emblematic element of the Bessanese heritage.
Located on the right bank of the river Hérault, the Bladier Mill is an emblematic element of the Bessanese heritage. Built at the end of the XIIth century and the beginning of the XIIIth century, it was commissioned by the bishop of Agde, Tédisio Balbi, known as "Thédise", lord of Bessan. The building keeps the traces of a gothic fortified architecture of beautiful workmanship. The mill is now in ruins and is set in a wild and bucolic environment on the banks of the river. It is accessible, in tourist season, on the occasion of commented walks.
