ÉGLISE SAINT-PIERRE
Church preserving an interesting furniture of which an altarpiece which could be the work of Jean Cannet, a pulpit in decorated wood...
We don't know when the church was built. A text mentions its existence in 1070, and what remains of this primitive building is the base of the bell tower with blind arcatures visible inside. It was enlarged in the 12th century and still preserves an extraordinary Romanesque chevet. The nave and side chapels were built from the 14th century, as well as the bell tower. The entrance door was built in 1693 by Jean Pandit, master mason from Bessan. Inside, the church retains interesting furnishings including an altarpiece which could be the work of Jean Cannet, an ornate wooden pulpit, a completely restored carved wooden painting, as well as an organ which has recently been completely restored.
