CHÂTEAU DE RAISSAC
Castle inviting to a quiet stay in a house of wine growers and artists.
The Château de Raissac is a unique establishment in its style: it is a house of winemakers and artists where you can discover the wines and the creative spirit that reigns there. Indeed, Jean and Christine Viennet are respectively painter and ceramist and their paintings and objects are very present in the house which dates from 1828. It is their son and his wife who will welcome you in the heart of a 3 ha park with a beautiful swimming pool. The conditions are fulfilled to spend a calm and restful stay.

What a treat. The chateau was magnificent with allot of charm and character. We loved the art and history of the place. It was magical. We had a chance to roam and explore the house and gardens we were free to explore freely. We had some fab wines and a simple and delicious evening meal. The room was charming and spacious and spotless. |We also explored the wine yard the following day where we met a very charming lady called Marine who shared her incredible knowledge of the region and vineyards and in all honesty made our stay even more memorable. Thanks for a fantastic stay. We home to be back one day soon.

A traditional chateau. Beautiful ceramics adorn each room; some of the artwork was breathtaking. The owner was very gracious and staff friendly and welcoming. A unique experience!||Booked very late so were allocated the "Yellow" room. Spacious but very dark. The "Blue" room, on the other hand, appeared to be very bright . . . with lots of sunlight.

Up front we have stayed at many chateaus all over France. Sadly we did not meet the owners as other reviewers have but we were met with a nice lady who showed us around. We stayed in the deluxe blue room which was quite large and pretty. Pool was the highlight of the chateau. Breakfast was fine. The chateau is chock a block with stuff can be a bit overwhelming as was the moth ball scent. Yes, I get it’s a really old home. Strange that we had to go around to the back door when entering at night.
