Béziers is well known for its Paul-Valéry Montpellier 3 university. The university offers a variety of services for students, including CROUS, student mutual insurance and guidance centers. The university also offers a wide range of courses in literature, the arts, philosophy and psychoanalysis. Students can choose from a range of degrees, from licentiate to doctorate. The university has around 4,000 students, 320 lecturers and 23 administrative, technical and library staff. For those wishing to visit the university, it is located on the road from Mende to Béziers.
