LE JARDIN DE LA PLANTADE
Garden located on the banks of the Orb, where it is possible to relax and enjoy the guinguette at the water's edge.
Situated on the banks of the Orb, the Jardin de la Plantade is a very pleasant place to go for long, bucolic strolls as soon as the sun starts to shine. In the 19th century, the people of Béziers came to laze on the lawns, canoe or swim, but today it is still possible to relax and enjoy the waterfront guinguette from April to September. From there, contemplate the Cordier mills: these buildings bear the name of Jean-Marie Cordier, a hydraulic engineer, who harnessed the waters of the Orb in 1827 to raise them towards the town centre.
