This trail leads through the heart of a listed site, rich in natural, geological and landscape discoveries. Leaving the village, the path winds through the vineyards, climbs through the fragrant garrigue and reaches the impressive cliffs of the Pic de Vissou. This peak, with its triangular profile, steep to the east, is the emblematic figure of Cabrières. A veritable geological sentinel, it served as a landmark for the first miners in France. Today, it dominates and protects the Cabrières vineyard with all its power. The region, made up of the peak of Vissou and the Cabrières mounts, is world famous for the complexity of its geology: a veritable puzzle of large "blocks", called the Cabrières "scales", whose particularity lies in the fact that the oldest rocks cover the youngest. This hike allows you to observe, over the 300 metres of difference in altitude, a beautiful inverted sedimentary series. This pleasant route presents many geological curiosities and in particular an amazing viewpoint on the Estabel terrace. As a backdrop, the silhouette of Vissou serves as a landmark during this walk full of surprises.
