FARRUS PICKAXE
This prehistoric copper mine encompasses a series of works dating from 3000 BC to the 19th century. Originally, the Neolithic peoples of the Languedoc used metal for the first time to make weapons, tools and beads. Little by little, copper became the preferred material. An easy and non-staining guided tour allows you to discover, helmet on your head, the shafts and galleries. The path is horizontal and at a constant temperature of around 15°C. The museum presents the results of studies of the ore processing and smelting workshops.
