Castle of the late Middle Ages qualified as a palace, the northwest corner tower remains of the four of the Philippine fortress
This castle, described as a palace in the Middle Ages, was modified many times between the 12th and 15th centuries, notably by the powerful archbishop of Narbonne. Today, only the northwest tower and part of the north and west ramparts, partially hidden by later additions, remain of the four corner towers of the original Philippine fortress (late 13th century). The most prestigious part of the dwelling still bears witness to its past splendor.
