A large winegrower's house has guest rooms on the first floor in Saint-Palais.
In Saint-Palais, the Château La Martellerie is located between two departments, Gironde and Charente-Maritime. This 18-hectare vineyard is located in the Côtes-de-Blaye appellation. In front of their large white winegrower's house with blue shutters, Maël, Geneviève, Didier and Véronique Lardière welcome you. The first floor of the house has been converted into a guest house and a parking area has been set up for motorhomes. That's to say if the Lardière family has a sense of hospitality. Your visit begins with the winery located near the pond. You learn that the vineyard is managed using sustainable viticulture. After the harvest and vinification, the wine of Château La Martellerie is housed in stainless steel vats and then partly aged in oak barrels. Now taste some vintages, including the Maël cuvée, named in honour of the first grandson.
