The SCM was created in 1945. It is the oldest caving club of Hérault. Its activity has been a pioneer in the department just after the war and until the 1960s, for good reason that it was the largest and almost the only caving club of Montpellier. The Spéléo Club de Montpellier is the structure that will allow you to meet other cavings, to find managers who will guide you in your technical progressions, to own exploration equipment. The outings are organised in the Languedoc-Roussillon region and throughout France, upon reservation. Note that the Hérault, facing the Cévennes and its many caves, offers a breathtaking caving ground.
