DOMAINE LACROIX-VANEL
Jean-Pierre Vanel left the National Education in the 1980s to create a restaurant in Sète with his wife Jocelyne. Towards the end of the 1990s, they transformed the address into one of the very first wine bars in Languedoc. This is where they became passionate about the beautiful references and terroirs. They then decided to invest in Caux, in a terroir of gravel and basalt which has its origins in the glaciers and volcanoes of the Quaternary period. Jean-Pierre Vanel founded Domaine Lacroix-Vanel on this demanding land in 1998 and has produced some great and astonishing wines. His quality craftsmanship has been praised throughout his activity. In 2016, the owner handed over to Marc-Olivier Bertrand, a young passionate winemaker who is determined to continue the work undertaken on the estate.
