ST. JOHN THE BAPTIST CHURCH OF CEILHES
Discovery of the most imposing church in the region, with a mixture of Romanesque and Gothic architecture in Ceilhes-et-Rocozels
The church of St. John the Baptist is a remarkable monument, it is the result of a mixture of Romanesque and Gothic architecture. It is also one of the most imposing churches in the region, due to its large dimensions. In the archives, it is mentioned as early as 1135. At the end of the 14th century, it was fortified in the eastern part of the choir by two buttresses supporting a machicolated broken arch of the stunnery type. It lends itself to beautiful discoveries.
