Church with terrace protected by the Virgin Mary overlooking the village of Corneilhan
The church of Saint-Léonce overlooks the village of Corneilhan, and from its terrace, protected by the Virgin Mary, a magnificent panorama unfolds. Almost completely rebuilt in 1870, one of its Romanesque chapels is dedicated to Saint Céronne, a young virgin born in Corneilhan around the year 410. If its furniture is interesting, one can also admire the frescoes painted by the fresco painter of Estonian origin Nicolaï Greshny: this artist is at the origin of numerous frescoes located in the churches of the south and south-west of France.
