FERME DE LA FAGEOLE
Pierre Baccou's farm, located in Courniou in the Haut Languedoc regional nature park, specializes in breeding Limousin cows. The farm promotes values such as attachment to the land, respect for the environment and a human-scale operation. With a herd of 70 suckler cows, 19 2-year-old and 19 1-year-old heifers, as well as 3 bulls, the farm covers 144 hectares. This enables the farm to be 95% self-sufficient in food. The animals are marketed in a variety of ways, including direct sales to consumers in the form of meat boxes. Over the past 4 years, the farm has also diversified into arboriculture, growing walnuts and chestnuts in conversion to organic farming. Pierre Baccou's farm thus offers quality meat, raised with respect for animal welfare and the terroir.
