A hard and ungrateful floor, which will not be tender with whom will dare to plant a stake there. However, that's the place, in this scrubland, swept by the winds, where Michel Moreau, when he was a young agricultural engineer from Grenoble, has planted his first vineyards at the late 70s and assign them as mission to adapt to an inhospitable environment, just like the plants which surround them: thyme, rosemary, holm oaks, junipers, euphorbiums and brooms. Even though they produce a low yield in a such an environment, they are nonetheless characterful and present concentrated and powerful flavours. Now, the family exploitation represents 11 hectares of vineyards, including 7 in full scrubland planted of 10 different grape varieties, which produce a pretty range of wines certified organic from 2015. In his small cellar hidden in the middle of a village house, this modest and talented vine grower elaborates a remarkably fine and quality wine. Its La Galopine vintage, based on Viognier, is undoubtedly one of greatest successes of white wine vinification throughout Languedoc.
