COL DE LA PIERRE PLANTEE
A very accessible loop to discover a Neolithic menhir and admire the Romanesque church of Ganges.
This walk starts at Saint-Roman-de-Codières in the Gard department, but you can also get more information at the Cévennes Méditerranée tourist office in the Hérault department. Before setting off, don't miss the village's square tower, a vestige of the old medieval castle. Then follow the path to the Col de la Pierre Plantée. This 3.5 km loop is very accessible, even for beginners. At the end of the route, you'll discover a Neolithic menhir. Don't forget to admire the 17th-century Romanesque church and the Protestant temple in Bouras.
