NOTRE-DAME-DE-GRACE CHURCH
This church boasts a beautiful ochre façade in the Florentine style.
The site is said to have housed an ancient Roman temple, converted into a church by the first bishop of Lodève, and destroyed by the Cathars in 1210. In 1360, a pilgrimage chapel was erected after a miraculous cure. The Wars of Religion led to its destruction in the 16th century by the Huguenots, then in 1620 by the Calvinists. Rebuilt in 1623 with stones from the Protestant citadel, the present church was completed in 1648, and listed as a historic monument in 1985.
