L'OCRE ROUGE
Restaurant in a former post office offering traditional and tasty cuisine
Nestled in the heart of the old village of Hérépian, this former post house has become a restaurant where gourmets like to meet up to taste the new culinary discoveries of Thierry Deloulay, the master of the place. Easily spotted thanks to its beautiful facade repainted in red ochre with a patina of old-fashioned red ochre and the remains of its feeding trough, the restaurant invites guests into a beautiful vaulted room bathed in soft, restful light, with wrought iron furniture. Supported by his wife Marion, Thierry offers a traditional cuisine that is not afraid of mixing flavours. From the first menu, you will appreciate the Scottish salmon and gravlax tartar accompanied by crunchy peas, the rare cooked fillet of beef "Aubrac", seasonal vegetables, cheeses matured afterwards, before finishing on a beautiful dessert menu whose favourite is the mille-feuille of chestnuts from Olargues. On the map, honour is given to the region's vintages and young talents. Note that the duo also offers guest rooms called "Beds in the square" in the same building.
