THE GREAT PYRAMID
Great pyramid impressive for its curves and its height, the most imposing work of the station in La Grande Motte.
Impressive in its curves and height, it is the most imposing structure in the station, so much so that it has become its emblem. Designed by Jean Balladur in 1974, this fascinating building is actually much more complex than it first appears. First of all, its shape: a curved "Y", housing a hotel and apartments, represents the "link" between the masculine (the high pyramids of the city center) and feminine (the sunset district with rounded pyramids) parts. This architecture of the city was inspired by the Pic Saint-Loup.
