We know La Grande-Motte for its beautiful beaches where it is pleasant to sunbathe, but few people know that the town is committed to the protection of Mediterranean turtles. The Centre d'étude et de Sauvegarde des Tortues Marines de Méditerranée (Centre for the Study and Protection of Mediterranean Sea Turtles) organises several activities throughout the year to raise public awareness of the dangers that threaten them. The most popular activity consists in visiting the educational trail with a caretaker. Another activity offers a naturalist workshop for 8-11 year olds.
