BOUSSAGUES, MEDIEVAL VILLAGE
Village on the hillside to visit, attracting over 1,000 inhabitants for its important mining resources (lead and silver)
Built on the foothills of the Cévennes and on the hillside overlooking the Orb valley, this village has no less than three castles and two churches, but also steep and dug rocks, streams and fountains, ramparts, fortifications, cobbled paths, old medieval buildings, tangled alleys. In the Middle Ages, more than 1,000 inhabitants lived here, attracted by important mining resources (lead, silver). A visit not to be missed!
