LABEIL CAVE
The most southerly of the Larzac caves, with entrance through an old cellar, an off-road visit via a family safari
On the southern slopes of the Causse du Larzac lies the Grotte de Labeil, accessible from an old Roquefort cellar. It is the southernmost cave in the region, attracting the first humans 5,000 years ago thanks to its underground river. The more adventurous can explore part of the river and galleries beyond the developed section. For this tour, long-sleeved clothing and sneakers are recommended, as well as a change of clothes for the return journey. You can also enjoy a meal at the on-site inn.
