MADAME DE SES VIGNES
The estate is located in the heart of the Terrasses du Larzac PDO, on a small plot of land with vines aged from 15 to more than 70 years old. Madame de ses vignes is in fact Magali Balmefrezol, teacher and winemaker, heiress of a family know-how passed on for several generations. She proudly produces a wine with a low carbon footprint (12 kg/year/year, instead of 2 tons with combustion engine equipment, 200 times less!), which she describes as "respectful of the environment". Her approach is unusual: she does not use tractors or tools with combustion engines, uses electric vehicles, has converted to organic farming, preserves as much of the fauna and flora as possible and favours sales on short circuits. The Syrah-Carignan-grenache-cinsault blend is matured for several months in vats, with minimal sulphiting for conservation and reasoned filtration.
