This village straight out of the Middle Ages is surrounded by ramparts that remind us of its past as a Protestant stronghold. One enters the enclosure by a door pierced in the walls, well preserved in places. Paved streets and vaulted passageways lead from the lower part of the village, dating from the 14th and 15th centuries, to the upper part, dating from the 13th century, where the houses huddled together were built directly on the rock and raised on one or more vaults. At its feet, the Lirou is sometimes capricious.
