TEMPORARY LAKE OF AYGUAS
Visit the temporary lake of Ayguas, a curiosity that takes the form of a layer of impermeable rock very close to the surface
On the Causse, between the commune of Les Rives and the hamlet of La Pezade, this curiosity takes the form of a layer of impermeable rock very close to the surface. During particularly rainy seasons, a real body of water forms, it can reach a depth of up to 10 m and cover 12 to 15 ha. And, little by little, the water evaporates until it completely disappears after several months. The last appearance was in 2014.
