FÊTE DE L'OIGNON - FESTAVINO
Go there and contact
Every year, the first weekend in July welcomes many curious people and gourmets who come to celebrate the sweet onion, the tasty treasure of Lézignan. The product is inseparable from the identity of the village, so much so that it took its name (cèba means "onion" in Occitan). For more than 400 years, the producers have watched over the product, harvesting it between June and mid-August and distributing it throughout the department. For some people, attending the onion festival means discovering its flavours, for others, it means finding a sweet and crunchy food that has seduced them in the past. During the weekend, they will all be able to stroll and shop at the local market, take part in tastings, visit a cébière and attend events, including the competition for the biggest cébière. A festive and tasty rendezvous at the same time!
