The Lunellois region was soon equipped with bridges, veritable works of art
The attractiveness of the region encouraged the construction of roads very early on, while Roman troops were still present in the area. Because of the major influence these constructions had on economic and military stakes, the Lunellois area was quickly equipped with bridges, veritable works of art. Two of these, the Tibière bridge over the Bénovie river and the Ambroix bridge over the Vidourle, were built around the 1st century. While the former can still be admired in its entirety, only two arches of the latter remain.
