Médard Museum located in Lunel, dedicated to the written heritage, allowing to discover the history of the book and the arts and crafts
In January 2014, the City of Lunel opened the Médard Museum. This cultural facility allows visitors to discover the history of the book and the arts and crafts related to it, particularly through the presentation of collections: the Médard fund, municipal archives, gilding irons... Located in front of the Notre-Dame-du-Lac church, in a building dating from the beginning of the 18th century, the museum dedicated to the written heritage, whose collection is composed of 5,000 rare and precious books, was bequeathed by Louis Médard (1768-1841) to his fellow citizens of Lunel.
