OCCI MAREE
Established since 1978 this company produces hollow oysters, known as crassostreas gigas. Bred in Thau Pond, the largest, deep and diverse Lagunes of the Languedoc lagoons, oysters are glued to spat state (i. e. one on ropes) and suspended under the tables for a period of 12 to 18 months. At good maturity, oysters are détachées (says "détroquées"), calibrated, then handed over to pochon and finally returned to their natural environment for one or two months. Before each shipment, they will be placed in our refining and purification basins. The production was awarded several times at the General Agricultural Competition: Gold Medal in 2006 and 2009, Silver Medal 2010. Occi Marée tide of support for the South label of France, showcase of the best regional producers.
