BAGNAS NATURE RESERVE
This reserve is remarkable for its great diversity of environments as well as the abundance and diversity of its fauna and flora, to discover.
On the communes of Marseillan and Agde, lies the site of Bagnas. A Mediterranean wetland of almost 600 hectares, the Bagnas escaped the major tourist developments of the 1970s, and was then classified as a nature reserve in 1983. The great diversity of environments (dunes, reedbeds, lagoons and sansouïres), the abundance but also the diversity of the fauna (more than 500 species including 232 species of birds) as well as the flora, make it a unique preserved space.
