ÉGLISE SAINT-ANDRÉ
Southern Gothic church, with a painting of the Holy Family and statues from the 15th and 16th centuries in Montagnac
The first mention of the existence of the church of Saint-André was in the cartulary of Agde in 990. Construction took place from the 13th to the 15th century. It was built in the southern Gothic style. Imposing, the monument is overhung by a bell tower decorated with 40 grotesques representing the vices of the most influential characters of the village. Admire its portal with voussures and columns, its machicolated porch and its 7-sided choir. This magnificent church also houses a painting of the Holy Family by Bestieu and statues from the 15th and 16th centuries.
