LA CHAPELLE NOTRE-DAME DE LA PEYRIÈRE
Magnificent chapel perched above the village, inaugurated in 1895 to thank the Virgin Mary for her protection.
Discovering this pretty chapel perched high above the village is well worth the 10-minute steep walk from the Cave Coopérative. The building opens onto a garden of olive trees and offers an exceptional panorama of the region. Its origins date back to 1890, during a cholera epidemic. To thank the Virgin Mary for her protection, the parish priest Boucassert de Montagnac launched its construction on the hill of La Peyrière. The Friends of Notre-Dame de la Peyrière now look after it.
