CONFERENCE DES FEMMES AFRICAINES
The Metropole of Montpellier is supporting a major program of cultural events to celebrate the relationship between Africa and France. More than 250 events will take place throughout the city, with a significant proportion of local programming in Maisons pour tous. Events include literary encounters, film screenings, theater and many other cultural activities. For example, a literary encounter with Cameroonian novelist Djaïli Amadou Amal, the screening of the documentary AFRICA MIA followed by a musical creation, and a play entitled "Des lions comme des danseuses" which questions our society's relationship with Africa. Montpellier Africa promises a season of festivals, exhibitions and encounters as a prelude to the Africa-France Summit.
