LE 23
In the heart of L'Ecusson, close to the prefecture, this gay friendly address can be proud of a terrace - in season - and a beautiful, intimate vaulted dining room, decorated in red and white - at any time. Under a beautiful clock, a wide choice of specialties from the region and from elsewhere is available to us: from the original fish tajine to the tasty beef bourguignon via calf kidneys with mustard sauce or flambéed prawns with pastis to complement with a good wine from the region. The service can be smiling with some touches of humor and good mood, against a background of commercial radios broadcast by a mini hi-fi system. While the bread on the table is homemade - quite rare that it deserves to be highlighted! - the desserts, like the cake with two chocolates, are rather mouthwatering. In short, a mix that is, after all, appropriate.
