LA GUEUZE
Named after the name of a famous beer, a small corner of Belgium not far from the Arc de Triomphe. In this restaurant, it is Brigitte, the Brussels, which is in the kitchen and with typical dishes of his country: mussels-fries, Flemish carbonades, waterzooï (a fish dish), rabbit liégeois with prunes… Her husband, Jean Paul, is a friendly rider and manages the service. It's been 17 years long! The hotel has recently been renovated and now has a grocery area, where lunch can be taken at noon. At a table, you can eat a-kilo mussels with crunchy chips. Other dishes include a secret ingredient: beer. It is found in their good Flemish carbonade - pieces of beef fondants in sauce. The boss is keyboard about beer, and you may tell where the so peculiar shape of the glass of Kwak… For dessert, a Brussels waffle seems to be everything!
