Restaurant offering amazing, gourmet and very copious dishes
Everyone in Montpellier knows La Tomate... and visiting gourmets are just waiting to discover it! Indeed, this restaurant is a city institution. Operating for over 60 years, it is the oldest establishment in the city. Its large fireplace, wood panelling and checkered tablecloths attract hungry tummies. What's on the menu? The dishes are astonishing, gourmet and copious. Among the must-try dishes are the aioli provençal, the rouille de sèche and the excellent cassoulet with duck confit.

We went yesterday for dinner and both ordered an entree and a main, and goodness me, the portions were large! Unfortunately, we couldn't finish it all, but the food was good. I particularly enjoyed the olives as the appetizers and the escargot had the most delightful sauce.
