Restaurant offering amazing, gourmet and very copious dishes
Everyone in Montpellier knows La Tomate... and visiting gourmets are just waiting to discover it! Indeed, this restaurant is a city institution. Operating for over 60 years, it is the oldest establishment in the city. Its large fireplace, wood panelling and checkered tablecloths attract hungry tummies. What's on the menu? The dishes are astonishing, gourmet and copious. Among the must-try dishes are the aioli provençal, the rouille de sèche and the excellent cassoulet with duck confit.

Opening time and information on LA TOMATE
Open all year round. Monday to Saturday, lunch and dinner. Reservations recommended. Children's menu: €9.50. Set lunch menu: €11 (starter + main course or main course + dessert, €17). Wine by the glass. Pizzas from €11. Restaurant vouchers. Terrace.

Our favorite restaurant in Montpellier! Very tasty food with a lot of variety that you don't see in other places.
There fish dishes were absolutely phenomenal, including the fish soup ^^

l'heure du déjeuner et nous avons tellement aimé que nous avons fait une réservation pour le dîner le jour même
Le service est excellent et très sympathique !
Les plats étaient absolument authentiques et de la meilleure qualité.
Nos recommandations :
- le haring aux pommes de terre
- le gaspacho
- la soupe de poisson accompagnée d'une excellente rouille
- les cuisses de grenouilles avec la bonne quantité d'ail
- les escargots
- un délicieux cassoulet
- le tartare
- et enfin en dessert le café gourmand

For me the best restaurants in Montpelier with a very good price-performance ratio!
We have been there the 1st
time for lunch and we loved it so much, that we made a reservation for dinner the same day
The service is excellent and very sympathetic!
The dishes were absolutely authentic and of best quality.
Our recommendations:
- the haring with potatoes
- the gazpacho
- the fish soup coming with an excellent rouille
- the frog legs with the right quantity of garlic
- the snails
- a delicious cassoulet
- le tartare
- and finally as dessert the café gourmand
