The Grammont Composting Centre treats vegetable waste produced by individuals or professionals, namely garden waste, mowing or pruning, less than 10 cm in diameter. These wastes may come from voluntary apport in Points of cleanliness, door-to-door collections of plant waste (on the municipalities benefiting from this service: Castries, Clapiers, Le Crès, Jacou, Lavérune, Pérols, Saint-Drézéry, Saint-Georges-d'Killer and Station). They can also be deposited directly. Plant waste was first crushed, then placed in windrows. They undergo decomposition and processing operations in compost.
