CLUB DE LA PRESSE OCCITANIE
In 2017, it changed its name to the contours of the Grande Région region. Print, audiovisual, departmental, regional, daily, weekly, weekly, monthly, magazines, press agencies… Some of the actors in the journalistic expression of the region are represented. Among its main tasks are the defence of freedom of expression and the press, the reflection on the information professions, the fight against the insecurity of trades in the press, and the accompaniment of the members of employment and training. The Club
also organises events (debates, OFF meetings, expos, monthly pots, etc.). It draws on journalism professionals, but also communication from businesses or communities. The proportion of the club's press officers increases each year, generating a few concerns about its independence.
