PIERRES VIVES
The building of Pierre-Vives, inspired by Rabelais and designed by Zaha Hadid, winner of the Pritzker prize in 2004, saw the light of day four years ago. Its contemporary architecture with pure lines and bold geometry illustrates the challenge of the Iraqi architect: "to get beautiful views from all possible angles". This City of knowledge and sports for all houses a collection of public services including the Departmental Archives of Hérault, the departmental Media Library, Hérault Sports and Espace Jeunes Citoyens. Guided tours of the building are organised on Wednesdays and Saturdays at 10.30 am (excluding public holidays). A visit of the scenes of Les Archives Départementales is also possible every first Wednesday of the month from 5 pm to 7 pm excluding public holidays. And you should note the many exhibitions organised by the address. According to the service you want to get, it is better that you inquire in advance because they do not necessarily have the same opening hours.
