ST. ROCH'S CHURCH
This church, built in the 19th century, stands on the site of the former St. Paul's Church.
Resplendent, the Saint-Roch church can be admired from the square of the same name and dominates the historic heart of the city. Built in the 19th century, in a neo-Gothic style, it stands on the site of the former church of St. Paul, of which the open apse remains, on the same level as the sacristy. With its name, the church pays tribute to the patron saint of the city, native of Montpellier, patron saint of pilgrims and healer of plague victims. All year round, the place welcomes believers, the curious and pilgrims on their way to Santiago de Compostela or to Rome.
