Bunker-like building, appreciated for its use of light and the acoustics of its interior in Montpellier
The Corum was born in 1990 and is both a congress centre and an opera house. Designed by the architect Claude Vasconi, this 50-metre high building, which looks like a bunker, is clad in pink granite. It can be reached from the esplanade Charles-de-Gaulle or from the road to Nîmes for a more complete view. Its interior is particularly appreciated, especially thanks to the work of light and the beautiful acoustics of the opera hall. In addition, the 20-metre opening stage of the hall can accommodate the most extravagant stagings.
