Castle where you can admire beautiful ironwork, statues, a French garden and period portraits inside
The Château de la Mogère was owned by the Viscount of Saporta. It is an 18th-century Montpellier "folie". After taking the path of plane trees, the curious ones end in front of the main facade of the monument. The residential and farm buildings are grouped around four successive courtyards where we discover beautiful ironworks, statues and a French garden. Inside, the residence has an interesting collection of portraits and furniture from the 17th and 18th centuries. A rocaille buffet d'eau representing Neptune dating from the 18th century is the most remarkable feature outside. It has been classified as a Historic Monument since 1945.
