This château bears witness to the lifestyle of Montpellier's notables of the time

This splendid 18th-century "folie" is surrounded by greenery. Passed down from generation to generation, it bears witness to the lifestyle of Montpellier's notables of the time (furniture, documents, tapestries...). Now owned by the De Colbert family, the monument, its vault and gardens have been beautifully restored. In addition to the building, the château's five hectares of vegetation are home to an astonishing variety of local shrubs, plants and vines. Discovery activities and wine tasting.

Great experience, amazing chateau but what really made it was the expert cave tour and wine tasting, great afternoon out! Also can thoroughly recommend the restaurant, Folia, simple menu amazing food!

The pictures seriously oversell this place. Pretty burned out sad looking gardens up close. We were excited to do the tour of the residence and then the ”cava”. It was 100% in French (no indications of this on the website which was in English), the cave was just the warehouse with all the tanks (built recently), and the wine was near the bottom of what we’ve tasted in France. They could work to improve many aspects of this experience.

Gerne wieder!
