Urban and contemporary art center whose collection gathers pioneer street-art artists

La Parcelle 473 is an urban and contemporary art center opened by Parisian gallerist Laurent Rigail, who has completely renovated the former family winery, the last agricultural plot in the heart of Montpellier, to create 300^m2 of exhibition space, preserving the concrete vats and old materials. A permanent collection brings together pioneering urban artists and young talents from Montpellier. Tours and street-art workshops are offered to make art accessible. An original place with multiple projects.

J'ai adoré l'ambiance de ce petit musée installé dans un ancien chai et pas comme les autres. Et en particulier la magnifique exposition temporaire consacrée à Sandrot, artiste peintre animalière qu'il m'a permis de découvrir. Des regards tellement touchants et qui nous interpellent. Toute la beauté du sauvage. Le lieu vaut le détour et on y est très bien accueilli.
