This neoclassical pavilion is set just off the Place de la Comédie.

Set back from the Place de la Comédie, between the trees of the Esplanade and the Champ de Mars garden, this neoclassical pavilion is an extension of the Musée Fabre. Mainly devoted to documentary photography, this free exhibition space is enlivened by temporary reference exhibitions. On average, the monument hosts three exhibitions by international, national and local artists each year. Previous exhibitions have included retrospectives devoted to Dr Paul Wolff and Linda McCartney.

Très belle exposition sur les photographies d'Antoni Campañà lors de la 'Guerra Civil'. Le Pavillon Populaire est un lieu avec des expositions de qualité !

Pour moi un lieu incontournable de Montpellier, de très belles expositions photographiques, des artistes et des thématiques variées et particulièrement intéressantes ! De plus l’entrée est gratuite, avec la possibilité de repartir avec un livret et une affiche de l’expo. J’y ai découvert des photographes qui m’inspirent beaucoup comme William Gedney, Peter Lindberg ou encore Lynne Cohen. Je n’ai pas raté une expo depuis au moins 4ans et c’est toujours un plaisir m’y rendre, jamais déçue. Prête pour le prochain événement !
