THE QUEEN'S GARDEN
This beautiful garden includes an artificial mountain created in the century by Richer de Belleval.
This beautiful 4,400m2 wooded garden, an extension of the Jardin des Plantes, had lain fallow and off-limits to the public for too many years. It was bought back from the State by Montpellier City Council at the end of 2013 so that it could once again be opened to the public. It includes an artificial mountain created in the 16th century by Richer de Belleval. Now that it has been restored, it is only open to the public from time to time, but you can find out when it is open on the Mairie website and that of the association that fought for its restoration.
