The Écusson's pedestrian streets are home to many private mansions.
In the pedestrian streets of the Ecusson, the private mansions are legion and it is often possible to slip discreetly into their superb interior courtyards. This superb architecture can be seen in all the picturesque streets but also in many shops in the district. Indeed, the majority of the owners had the good taste to preserve sumptuous ceilings in ogives of XIVe and XVe centuries. During the wanderings, one can also discover vestiges of the fortified enclosure of XIIe century, of which the tower of Babote.
