With its 230 meters long and 50 meters wide, the Place de la Comédie forms with the Esplanade one of the largest pedestrian areas in France. Lined with majestic 19th century buildings, it is home to numerous café terraces, the Montpellier National Opera, a cinema, the Tourist Office and many other points of interest. At its heart, the Trois-Grâces fountain is the city's most famous rallying point. Ideally located close to all tramway lines, it is the starting point for many activities and evenings.
